The Newport Harbor Educational Foundation Benefit at EuroCar Inc. in Costa Mesa from 6 to 10 p.m. Newport Harbor Educational Foundation (NHEF) promotes academic excellence and enhances educational opportunities for students at Newport Harbor High School. Funds help to provide supplies, classroom technology, college counseling, professional development and educational conferences for faculty and more. Challenge Day for Newport Harbor High School at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Challenge Day is a program in which youth and adult participants are guided through a series of experimental learning processes. The overall goals of the program are to increase personal power and self-esteem; shift peer pressure to positive peer support; and to eliminate the acceptability of teasing and forms of oppression. NHHS Faculty vs. Student Basketball Game at gym from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The NHHS Honor Society is hosting the third annual faculty vs. student basketball game. NHHS alumni is invited to join the faculty team. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the ASB window or at the door, $5 for students and $10 for adults. Early College High School Informational Meeting at Corona del Mar Middle School choir room from 2 to 3 p.m. Early College High School is an NMUSD school where students take both high school and college classes throughout their four years.  The college classes are free, and count toward both graduation credit and an AA degree.
