On  a foggy, perfect morning for running, more than 17,000 signed up to run in the annual Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure. Thousands more cheered and saluted survivors as the runners made their way around the the 5K course in Fashion Island. Over 60 members of Jennie’s Brigade walked. Breast cancer has no age or sex bias and there were men, women, children and a few canine participants. The Race for the Cure raises money for breast cancer research and treatment through the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
