CRIME LOG

A blocked driveway was reported in the 3600 block of Finley Ave., at 9:43 a.m. on Thursday. Police issued a citation.

Shots were heard near Amethyst and Park avenues, at 11:22 p.m. on Wednesday. Police checked and cleared the area. No further assistance was required.

A trespasser was reported in the 3500 block of Jamboree Rd., at 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday. Police responded and kept the peace.

A suspicious person was reported in the 2700 block of Windover Dr., at 3:53 p.m. on Monday. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
ARREST LOG

A 23-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested at West Coast Highway and the northbound Old Newport Drive ramp, at 1:56 a.m. on Tuesday for 664 attempt to commit a felony crime, 488 petty theft from motor vehicle, 496(A) receive/etc. stolen property valued at less than $950, 466 possession of burglary tools, 459 burglary from motor vehicle, 298.1(A) fail/refuse to provide blood/saliva specimen. Bail is set at $25,000.

A 19-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested in the 500 block of W. Oceanfront, at 11:04 a.m. on Tuesday for 459 residential burglary with forced entry. Bail is set at $50,000.

A 40-year-old Santa Monica man was arrested in the 300 block of Grand Canal, at 12:47 a.m. on Monday for 487(A) grand theft of boat/vessel. He posted the $20,000 bail and was released later that day.

A 30-year-old handyman from Panama City was arrested at Santiago and Constellation drives, at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday for 10.54.020(A) public nudity and miscellaneous fish and game code violations. He was issued a $500 fine. He was again arrested in the 6400 block of W. Coast Hwy., at 8:42 p.m. on Sunday for 466 possession of burglary tools, 487(D)(1) grand theft auto, 298.1(A) fail/refuse to provide a blood/saliva specimen. Bail was set at $250,000.
