Tuesday, Aug. 6

 

Residential burglary. 12 p.m. 1600 block of Kings Rd. Two suspects entered the victim’s home and stole a flat screen television, an Apple iMac, and an antique clock all valued at $9,100.

 

Monday, Aug. 5

 

Residential burglary. 11:12 a.m. 300 block of Poppy Ave. Someone managed to enter a house via unknown means while the victim was out of town within the last three months. The unknown suspect stole jewelry, audio equipment, binoculars, a camera, and cash all valued at $15,400.

 

Sunday, Aug. 4

 

Residential burglary. 1:03 p.m. 2500 block of Via Marina. Someone entered a residence through unknown means and stole 175 antique coins at some point within the last three months. The coins are valued at $8,000.

 

Burglary, conspiracy. 4:12 p.m. Bayside Drive and E. Coast Highway. A South Gate man reached into a vehicle through an open window and took a bag and fled the scene with three other men – one from Chula Vista and two from Cudahy. Police received a call identifying their license plate and quickly tracked down the four. They recovered the bag, which contained a sandwich, and arrested all four men for burglary and conspiracy. Their bail was each $20,000.

 

Saturday, Aug. 3

 

Hit and run. 9 p.m. Lugonia Street and Newport Shores Drive. An Anaheim man was intoxicated when he drove his car into two parked vehicles and fled the scene. He was arrested for misdemeanor hit and run, admitting to being the driver as witnesses confirmed. His bail was $500.

 

Friday, Aug. 2

Grand theft from person. 10:50 p.m. 28th Street and Newport Boulevard. A Newport woman presented a fake ID, which a doorman confiscated and refused to give back. When the doorman went to the bathroom, the woman followed him, reached into his pocket and stole three fake IDs, including hers, and $40 in cash. The doorman confronted the woman outside and she bit his forehead. She was arrested and held on $20,000 bail.
