Monday, May 20

Burglary. 1:50 p.m. 600 block of Newport Center Dr. A Newport man took a pair of sunglasses without paying and without the means to purchase them. Store security detained the man until police arrived and arrested him. He was held on $20,000 bail.

Sunday, May 19

Vandalism. 6:46 a.m. 600 block of Carnation Ave. A Huntington Beach woman cause $3,400 in damages while attempting to a enter a resident’s home through a locked front door. She damaged the entryway, the interior door, and various landscaping accessories. The victim called police and the woman was arrested and held on $20,000 bail.

Grand theft. 3:59 p.m. 22800 block of S. Pelican Hill Rd. A wallet, Rolex watch, and credit cards were stolen from a golf bag, at an estimated total loss of $7,680.

Residential burglary. 4:27 p.m. 1500 block of Placentia Ave. An unknown suspect or suspects gained entry to a residence via an unlocked shower window and proceeded to steal a flat-screen TV, computer, watch, and cash all together worth $4,300. The suspect(s) fled through the front door.
