Stolen vehicle. 9 a.m. 22nd Street and Balboa Boulevard. Whilst responding to a call of a suspicious occupied vehicle, police officers contacted two men in said vehicle, determining they had stolen it from Riverside County. Both were arrested and each held on $20,000 bail.
Battery. 5:18 p.m. McFadden Place and W. Oceanfront. A man got out of his car in the middle of the intersection, punched a victim in the face, then got back in his car and fl ed the scene. The event was reportedly alcohol related.
Saturday, April 6
Possession of tear gas. 3:40 a.m. Newport Center and Santa Rosa drives. Officers conducting a traffic stop determined the driver violated his probation by being in possession of a can of tear gas. He was arrested and held on $20,000 bail.
Hot prowl burglary. 2:08 p.m. 2100 block of 16th St. An unknown suspect entered an apartment while the resident was in the shower. The suspect ransacked the place. The victim lost $500 cash.
