Pacific Premier Bank and Susan G. Komen Orange County have formed a partnership to sponsor mobile mammography and outreach efforts throughout Orange County.
The 2016 sponsorship will focus on breast cancer education, awareness, and medical screening services. In an effort to reach low-income and underserved communities, Pacific Premier Bank and Komen Orange County will partner to deliver mobile mammography services, with a focus on serving the county’s most critical needs.
Pacific Premier Bank, which has a branch in Newport Beach, is providing a $50,000, two-year grant to sponsor the mobile mammography and outreach efforts to Hispanic women in Anaheim, Buena Park, Santa Ana and San Juan Capistrano, areas where Latina populations historically have statistically higher rates of late-stage breast cancer diagnosis.
The partnership will last for two full years, with particular emphasis placed on the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“This new partnership with Pacific Premier Bank gives Komen Orange County an increased ability to bring breast health services and mobile mammography to women who otherwise would not have access to care,” said Lisa Wolter, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Orange County.
