Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport Newport Beach officials recently announced the completion of an elaborate, multi-million dollar renovation of its 343-room hotel at 4545 McArthur Blvd.

According to a Nov. 19 press release, Los Angeles-based design firm Indidesign masterminded the redesign, which includes the 1,944 square-foot Newport Bay ballroom equipped for theater, classroom, banquet or reception-style events.

“This top-to-bottom transformation establishes Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport Newport Beach as an ideal destination for travelers seeking sophistication and a seamless experience in one of Southern California’s most coveted cities,” hotel general manager Tom Clearwater wrote in a prepared statement. “With the completion of our massive redesign and remodel, guests can enjoy a next-level, stress-free travel experience.”

In total, the hotel offers 30,603 square feet of event space to accommodate weddings, meetings, conferences, holiday celebrations, and other social gatherings. The hotel’s functional spaces include boardrooms, flexible indoor-and-outdoor space, such as the Pacific Ballroom that opens to the glass-encased Monarch Pavilion and Lido event lawn, and more.

Guest rooms and suites feature Italian marble bathrooms, step-out balconies, and 65-inch smart TVs. Guests also have 24-hour gym access that comes with Precor exercise equipment, a stretching and yoga room, and a resort-style pool and jacuzzi.

Signature restaurant WAVE Newport Beach serves local and sustainable California cuisine, BLVD Bar offers craft cocktails and seasonal small bites, and BLVD Market provides baked goods and a grab-and-go deli.
