Trailing 6-3 near the end of the third quarter, Newport Harbor’s girls water polo team scored five unanswered goals to take an 8-6 lead with 2:36 left in the fourth quarter. They then hung on to defeat No. 1 seed Corona del Mar, 8-7, and win the section championship.
