The Glass Slipper Guild supporting CHOC Hospital’s Neuroscience Institute teamed with up with our local heroes from Newport Beach Fire Department for a fundraiser that ignited the runway at Bloomingdale’s Fashion Island.
The crowd of more than 200 went wild as Capt. Glenn White took to the catwalk along with 12 of his fellow male and female fire department “models” each wearing the hottest fall fashions.
Co-presidents of the Guild Samantha Manfer and Meredith Hansen ran the event, which included a pre-show champagne luncheon, and said that funds raised will go towards a $1 million endowment that the Guild has pledged to the institute.
The Glass Slipper Guild’s goal is to help CHOC provide all the children in Orange County with whatever medical care they may need, regardless of race, creed or financial security.
