At a time when it seems like California businesses are hanging on by a thread, it was a pleasure to attend the recent ribbon cutting ceremony for the new, sustainably-designed headquarters of Equus Products, Inc. located on Von Karman.
As a gesture of community support and involvement inherent in the company’s business philosophy, Equus partnered with OC Food Bank for the event, collecting non-perishable food items throughout the evening from staff and guests. The donated items are especially appreciated by families in need served by OC Food Bank during the busy holiday season.
The event, planned and catered by Newport Beach’s own POSH Events, featured staff tours of the impressive “green” facility as well as presentations by political representatives including Indy columnist Scott Peotter, who presented a certificate to Equus Products, Inc. owners Ieon Chen and Cynthia Tsai on behalf of District Assemblyman Allan Mansoor.
The evening served both as a celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary as a leading automotive aftermarket supplier and as the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for their brand new, multimillion dollar corporate headquarters where 100 employees are settling in. All products distributed in North America are researched, developed and designed at the new facility.
