The league leading Anaheim Ducks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-0 in the National Hockey League Stadium Series game at Dodger Stadium on Saturday. More than 54,000 fans sang along with rock band KISS, cheered their team and were treated to a Hollywood carnival atmosphere that included beach volleyball, field hockey, the University of Southern California band, singing group Five for Fighting, frisbee tossing and fireworks.

Wayne Gretzky, the Great One, who played for the Kings and has 1,000 more goals than anyone in the history of hockey, dropped the pre-game ceremonial puck.  From then on, it was all Ducks who scored early (Beleskey and Perry) and, thanks to a suffocating defense and goalie Jonas Hiller, completely shut down the Kings for the final two periods.
