The city is accepting applicants for police officers in anticipation of future retirements, officials announced Wednesday.
Entry-level and academy-graduate applicants that meet the requirements may apply through the city‘s job opportunities web page.
The deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 22 or until 500 application packages are received., whichever comes first.
“Applicants are encouraged to submit the appropriate paperwork immediately as the recruitment for these positions could close at any time,” the announcement reads.
The city is also accepting applications for lateral police officers on an ongoing basis.
