More than 500 people attended the grand reopening of Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza in Newport Beach on October 18, and for good reason: that day’s proceeds were donated to Kaiser/Woodland Elementary and Mariner’s Elementary schools.
The fundraiser, which lasted only five hours, netted $1,400 for Kaiser/Woodland and $900 for Mariners.
This week, two of the new owners of Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza — Rob Dodman and Jeff Roberts — presented a check to representatives of Kaiser Elementary. In addition, Kaiser was told that the fundraiser is ongoing, and the pizza restaurant will donate 10 percent of all sales to Kaiser/Woodland when someone makes a purchase and tells the cashier, “PS, I love you.”
