Some local business leaders were honored recently at a Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce event.

About 100 people attended the Mayor’s Reception and Chamber Volunteer Awards Ceremony on Dec. 10 at the Back Bay Bistro at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort. The event was hosted by the Chamber’s Commodores Club.

Awards were handed out earlier in the evening, prior to the speeches by the outgoing mayor, and incoming mayor and mayor pro tem.

Ambassador of the Year went to Joyce Lau, Navigate Young Professional of the Year was awarded to Lynsey Marrinan, and Silver Anchor Award is Chris Delfs.

Chamber President and CEO Steve Rosansky thanked the honored volunteers and other supporters in the crowd. The work the chamber does couldn’t be done without them, he added.

“All very deserving of the honor that they received tonight,” Rosansky said at the event.
