Nearly 80 local luminaries recently celebrated an upcoming charitable dance competition.
The cast party for the Assistance League of Newport Mesa’s “Dancing for Tomorrow’s Stars” was held Jan. 23 at Black, Starr & Frost jewelry store in Newport Beach.
The league is a self-funded, volunteer, nonprofit organization that benefits children and families through community philanthropic programs.
Black, Starr & Frost owner, Alfredo Molina, greeted the crowd and ALMN President Cathy Youngman spoke about the main event.
Guests included Sara and Keith Jerrett, George, Julia and Stephanie Argyros and the celebrity dancers.
Guests enjoyed light bites, wine, and champagne and viewed the renowned jewelers’ exclusive collections.
Celebrity dancers this year include Lisa Heil, Marisa Wayne, Lauren Kear, Brad Davidson, and more to come
The honorary chair for this year’s event is Stephanie Argyros. The event pairs community leaders with professional ballroom dancers in a format similar to the popular “Dancing with the Stars” television program and competition.
It will also celebrate the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa’s 73 years of philanthropic services to children in the community.
The fundraiser, “Dancing for Tomorrow’s Stars” will be held March 29 at the Grove in Anaheim.
