Police are investigating theft of $25,000 worth of items from an Irvine Ranch Water District truck and storage container.
The crime, classed as a commercial burglary, occurred Oct. 7 or 8 in the 6700 block of Vista Ridge Road.
Unknown suspects forced entry into a locked construction truck and storage container, said Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Burdette. The latches on both the truck and the container were pried open, he said.
The suspects then stole a variety of construction equipment, including power tools, compressors and generators, he said.
