Dr. Henry Nicholas, center, of Newport Beach shares a moment with the Nicholas Academic Centers’ Executive Director, Dr. Corina A. Espinoza, NAC co-founder retired Orange County Superior Court Judge Jack Mandel, and five of the center’s Class of 2011 at the NAC graduation event this week. The NAC is an after-school tutoring and mentoring program with a college preparation emphasis, for at-risk minority youths. This year, 100 percent of the Center’s 60 graduates have been accepted to colleges across the nation, from UC Berkeley to Georgetown.
