On Saturday, the Newport Beach Arts Foundation again hosted the annual Art in the Park event at Mariners Park. The event featured many artists and craftspeople displaying and selling a variety of original works in an assortment of mediums, from painting and photography, gemstones and glass to sculptures and silver.

Event proceeds are used to help the Newport Beach Arts Foundation. NBAF was founded in 1998 to support the Newport Beach Arts Commission and to further the advancement of art in Newport Beach through participation in local artistic endeavors such as the revitalization of McFadden Square and supporting Shakespeare by the Sea and Concerts in the Park. Currently, the foundation is working to help place an art sculpture in the new civic center park.

Funds raised from various arts events and cultural activities help enable the Arts Foundation to promote art and enrich the cultural life in Newport Beach.
