Newport Beach Fire Department personnel responded to a working structure fire at 3034 E. Coast Hwy in Corona Del Mar 3:42 p.m. on June 4, according to authorities.
The two-alarm fire was located within a one-story multi-unit building, NBFD reported in a statement released June 5.
“First in units made an aggressive interior attack of the fire combined with vertical ventilation to contain the fire to the unit of origin,” NBFD Life Safety Specialist Matt Brisbois explained in the press release.
The fire was contained within 15 minutes from the initial 911 call, officials noted.
No injuries were reported.
A portion of Pacific Coast Highway was temporarily closed while firefighters worked on the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Newport Beach Fire Department investigators, Brisbois wrote.
Costa Mesa Fire Department, Orange County Fire Authority and the Newport Beach Police Department also assisted with the call.
