Open Bar Hospitality, a new hospitality venture led by Ben Sabouri, is now managing The Ritz Prime Seafood, the fine dining restaurant located along Mariners’ Mile, which opened in October 2015. Chuck Mathewson remains the owner.
Partner Sabouri and managing partner Young Lee have taken charge of the restaurant’s day-to-day operations and have selected George Neyra, who has 13 years of culinary experience at prestigious establishments, to serve as executive chef overseeing menu creation and back-of-the-house operations.
Prior to forming Open Bar Hospitality, Sabouri and Young worked at Las Vegas-based The Light Group, one of the leading hospitality development management companies in the United States, where they supervised the nightlife and day life of Vegas’ MGM Aria Resort & Casino, Bellagio Resort & Casino and The Mirage Hotel & Casino.
Neyra introduces diners to a new menu of globally influenced choices of fish, dry-aged steaks, chops, Jidori chicken and hearty wintry accompaniments. Most recently, he was executive sous chef at Patina Restaurant Group’s Ray’s and Stark Bar at LACMA, and prior to that he was executive sous chef at Michael Mina’s Stonehill Tavern at St. Regis Monarch Beach.
