Nothing says spring in the culinary world like Easter Brunch. Here’s our annual roundup of what Newport Beach restaurants are offering on Sunday, March 27. Make reservations soon, as many of these restaurants are popular Easter dining spots and fill up fast.

BACK BAY BISTRO

Back Bay Bistro will celebrate from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. with an elaborate brunch and bottomless champagne and mimosas. Guests will enjoy make-your-own omelet station, pancakes, carving stations, shrimp cocktail, and a chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries, marshmallows and other treats. BALBOA BAY RESORT

Grand Ballroom offers an Easter buffet complete with traditional breakfast favorites, live chef action stations and carving stations, seafood and raw bar, salads, breads, artisan cheeses and a pastry station. Brunch includes complimentary champagne and live entertainment. Outdoor patio seating on the Coconut Grove patio will be available (weather permitting). Buffet brunch is available 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. $79.00 adults, $39.50 children (4-12).

Waterline has a four-course Easter Brunch menu from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for $68 per adult and $34 that includes almond brioche with strawberries, choice between lox smØrrebrØd or Dungeness crab salad, and entrée options that include lamb rack, crab cake benedict, and garden frittata. BAYSIDE

Celebrate Easter brunch at Bayside with a free-flowing champagne & mimosa three-course prix-fixe brunch for $46.75 per adult and $21.75 for children 12 and under. First course offers many options including white asparagus soup, bresaola Carpaccio, and hickory smoked Scottish salmon. The main course highlights are frittata (baked Italian style omelet), grilled prime steak, and grilled Pacific swordfish. For dessert choose dark chocolate cake or strawberry almond tart. THE BUNGALOW

Easter champagne brunch at The Bungalow is a two course menu beginning with appetizer selections of lobster bisque, heirloom tomato salad, Bungalow salad, or fresh fruit cup. Choose from a wide selection on entrees including roasted prime rib of beef, crab and artichoke frittata, and mixed berry waffle. FIG & OLIVE

Easter at Fig & Olive is a three-course brunch for $40 per person. Appetizer choices are Provencal carrot and thyme soup, truffle mushrooms croquette, or crab salad. Main course options include French omelet, steak and eggs, or rosemary lamb. Meal concludes with Clementine vacherin or a chocolate pot de crème. FLEMING’S

Join Fleming’s for a delicious three-course Easter Brunch. Guests can enjoy a savory potato leek soup, modern Caesar or fresh seasonal berries to start, followed by a choice of entrée including eggs benedict, baked brioche French toast, prime rib and porcini crusted filet mignon. End brunch on a sweet note with a choice of white chocolate bread pudding or mixed berry cobbler.  ISLAND HOTEL

Oak Grill has a basket full of brunch including live-action stations filled with traditional brunch favorites, made-to-order specialties and desserts, plus bottomless mimosas. MASTRO’S OCEAN CLUB

The a la carte menu includes the decadent Maine lobster benedict, Belgian waffles, and Mastro’s savory tuna burger.  Brunch is served from 10 am. – 3 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling (949) 376-6990.

 MULDOON’S IRISH PUB

Muldoon’s is offering a three course Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To begin, choose a bowl of fresh fruit or chicken tortilla soup, followed by extensive entrée selections including corned beef hash, shrimp and crab Louie, fish & chips, and shepherd’s pie. For a sweet finish there is a petite parlour sundae with dark chocolate sauce and See’s toffee. Cost is $25.95 for adults and $12.95 for 10 and under. PELICAN HILL RESORT

Pelican Hill offers many Easter epicurean experiences starting with Andrea Restaurant’s traditional Easter feast with a prix fixe tasting menu from Chef Marco from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ($120 adult/ $60 child). Bring the entire family down to Coliseum Pool & Grill on Easter Sunday, as Chef Micah creates an extraordinary brunch buffet. All of your favorites will be on display for brunch from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. ($65 adult/ $30 child). Chef Luke at California-inspired Pelican Grill is creating a special selection of á la carte dishes from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray presents traditional brunch favorites, accented with California and Tuscan flavors, in Mar Vista’s grand ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ($125 adult / $60 child). Want something different for Easter brunch? Settebello in Crystal Cove Shopping Center has a three course prix-fixe menu for two people available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that includes appetizer, pizza, and dessert to share, plus a cocktail for each person, for $40 total. TRUE FOOD KITCHEN

This Easter, True Food Kitchen menu will showcase two seasonal specials for the occasion, including spring bruschetta topped with asparagus, artichoke, green peas, and watermelon radish, sesame and goat cheese ($10) and sustainable seabass served with grilled vegetables and whole grains ($26). THE WINERY

The Winery will be featuring a special prix-fixe brunch menu courtesy of Executive Chef Yvon Goetz for $46.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Begin with several appetizer choices including organic green asparagus bisque, chilled wild jumbo shrimp cocktail, and Santa Barbara heirloom tomatoes. The main course has seven selections including “The Winery” eggs benedict, parmesan crusted Mary’s chicken “Tartine”, braised beef short ribs hash and fried eggs. The dessert choices are The Winery cheesecake Tahitian vanilla bean crème brulee, spiced organic carrot and Hawaiian pineapple cake.
