CRIME LOG

 

Vandalism was reported in the 400 block of Newport Center Dr., at 2:09 p.m. on Thursday. A police report was filed.

A suspicious person was reported in the 2100 block of W. Oceanfront, at 5:17 on Wednesday. The suspect was gone by the time police arrived.

Illegal parking was reported at Sherington Place and Sea Gull Lane, at 1:34 a.m. on Tuesday. Police issued a citation.

A hit and run of a parked vehicle was reported at 26th Street and Balboa Boulevard, at 8:28 p.m. on Monday. Police checked and cleared the area.

 

ARREST LOG

 

A 45-year-old Anaheim resident was arrested in the 200 block of Promontory Dr., at 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday for the concealed possession of the switchblade knife. An officer responding to a bicycle theft saw the man, who matched the description of the suspect, detained him and found him carrying a concealed switchblade knife. The victim could not positively confirm or deny the subject’s involvement in the bike theft.  

A 23-year-old Huntington Beach man was arrested at 30th Street and W. Oceanfront, at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday for public intoxication after a passer-by flagged down an officer to report a young man that was unconscious near the boardwalk. The officer found the man lying in the sand; breathing, but unresponsive. When roused, the subject was found to be extremely intoxicated and unstable both seated and standing. It was determined he could not care for his safety or the safety of others and he was arrested.
