The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce has gotten off to a fast start in 2015. The organization just held its first Wake Up! Newport event this week, but three more events are on tap this month, starting with the Christmas Boat Parade Awards Dinner and Auction Jan. 16 at The Island Hotel in Fashion Island.

Open to the public, the gala will honor the winners of the Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights competitions, and raise funds for next year’s parade.

The evening will feature and cocktail reception and a gourmet dinner with wine, recognition of the winners of the parade and ring of lights, live and silent auctions featuring hundreds of items, and dancing.

Then on Jan. 21 is a Chamber Networking Luncheon at Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club

on Bayside Dr.

Co-hosted with the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce, the luncheon features guest speaker Dr. Andrew Stenhouse, who will talk about the seven steps of employee engagement.

Dr. Stenhouse has been developing leaders in business and non-profit organizations for nearly 30 years. He has taught courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs, including Foundations of Leadership, Team Development, Conflict Management, Strategic Management, Leadership Theory and Organizational Behavior.

Finally, the Chamber’s monthly Sunset Mixer will be held at Fig & Olive in Fashion Island. Make connections and build your network at this event that’s free for members, $35 for nonmembers. Features no-host bar, raffle prizes, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres.
