Grand theft. 6:45 p.m. 4000 block of Seashore. The victim had hired workers for a residential construction project, allowing the them access to the residence. After the victim left for about an hour, the victim returned and both the workers and $1,500.69 worth of property were gone.
Monday, April 22
Litter warrant. 12:35 a.m. Bayside Dr. and Coast Hwy. A Costa Mesa talk show host was contacted during a routine traffic stop and found to have a warrant for arrest for littering from a vehicle. He was held on $1,500 bail.
Sunday, April 21
Grand theft from vehicle. 9:05 a.m. First block of Scenic Bluff. An unknown suspect gained entry to a car through an unlocked door and proceeded to steal $4,500 worth of property.
Residential burglary. 7:19 p.m. 100 block of Sholz Plaza. An unknown suspect entered a house by unknown means and stole $15,000 worth of property.
