Newport Harbor’s Sailors water polot team won its CIF Quarterfinal match with a 9-3 victory over Harvard-Westlake.
Junior Curtis Fink led the Sailors with 3 goals. Andrew Silvers (1 assist, 1 steal) and Preston Lee (1 assist, 2 steals) added 2 goals each, while Dan Stevens (1 assist, 3 field blocks, 2 steals) and Ryan Fowler (2 field blocks, 1 steal) each scored once.
Senior goalie Koby Yokota had 8 saves, including stopping a 5-meter penalty shot.
Newport Harbor advances to the CIF Semifinals to face El Toro on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m., at the Wollett Aquatics Center in Irvine.
